Ally Sheedy
Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy born in June 1962 was an American actor from the United States. She made her acting debut as an actress on Bad Boys in 1983. Since then, she has performed in WarGames as of 1985. Then, she appeared on The Breakfast Club in 1986 and Short Circuit in 1986. Sheedy's performance in Lisa Cholodenko's High Art (2000) won her the Independent Spirit Award, Best Female Actor. Sheedy is an American actor and a writer. In the early 80s, she began her career on film by appearing in the crime thriller Bad Boys. She was highly acclaimed for the film. Rick Rosenthal's film also starred Sean Penn and Esai Morales Clancy Brown & Alan Ruck. Her first success led her to be a part of The Breakfast Club, a comedy-drama from 1985. The film was written and directed by John Hughes is considered one of the greatest films made by high school students of all time. Though the budget was only $1 million, its profits surpassed the mark of $50 million. In the meantime she started appearing on various TV shows, including CBS Schoolbreak. It was her first TV appearance. Since April, 1980, the show was an adolescent program. Chicago Story Big City Samuels and the Kid as well as Hill Street Blues are other television shows in which she was a part of. Some of her latest appearances include Little Sister and X-Men Apocalypse an action film featuring an X-Men superhero, that she appears in as an appearance. Sheedy has received numerous awards for her stellar performances among them her MTV Movie Award Silver Bucket of Excellence Award.
